Wholesale of grain, unmanufactured tobacco, seeds and animal feeds
It is a private limited company primarily engaged in the wholesale trade of grains, oilseeds and oilseed meals and the provision of freight services in the Iberian market. The main activity of the company is the import and distribution of grains, oilseeds, meals and feed ingredients in the main Spanish and Portuguese ports. Incorporated in December 1998, the company has a registered office located in Madrid, Spain. It handles the following products: grains, such as wheat, corn, (malting) barley, oats, rye and sorghum; oilseeds, such as rape/canola seed and sunflower seed; oilseed meal which include soybean meal, soybeans, rape/canola meal, copra meal, palm meal and sunflower seed meal; and other products, such as wheat bran pellets, sugar beet pulp pellets and cottonseed. The company's freight services offers Panamax, Handy size and Coaster. It takes part in origination and marketing with the goal of delivering outstanding service to its clients. The main customers are the animal feed industry, the wheat millers (including the starchers and the grid producers) and the bio-diesel industry. It has developed close relationships with farmers and co-operatives. It operates distribution facilities in the interior: Valladolid Silo located in the Duero area and La Roda Facility located in Albacete. The company also operates through a 50 percent ownership in Merco-Nidera, focuses on providing services to farmers and this includes the procurement and handling of grains and rice.
