The company is primarily engaged in the provision of sea freight transportation services. Its services include cargo handling, warehouse facilities, forwarding, shipowners' services, international shipments, and customs terminal. The company also provides transport, forwarding, customs clearance, and warehouse services; and forwarding and cargo handling services for containers, trailers, general cargo, bulk cargo, and various machines and project goods. It is part of the A. P. Moller - Maersk Group, an international company widely recognized for its activities within shipping, energy, offshore, retail and industry. The company has represented Maersk Line in Spain since 1984. The company has offices in Valencia, Algeciras, Barcelona, Bilbao, Seville, Vigo, Las Palmas and Madrid (Head Office). Apart from above-mentioned ports, it also has regular services from Alicante, Cartagena, Lanzarote, La Palma, Malaga, Ceuta and Melilla. Maersk Logistics España, S.A (MLE), its subsidiary, supplies advanced integrated logistics solutions tailor-made to the customer's needs. The company operates a state-of-the-art container terminal in Algeciras in Southern Spain where modern container operations are performed with more than 100 vessel calls per month. A terminal with a total area of 663,010 sq. meters, built on reclaimed land at Muelle Juan Carlos I in the port of Algeciras, fitted with the most modern equipment, including 15 Postpanamax cranes (with a reach of 22 containers). It performs around two million containers moves per year.
